Air Testing Equipment, Rentable

We recently had a super bad problem with the air in our apartment. It seemed to be coming from someone else’s furnace, from the attic, through our furnace vents, into our our apartment. I quickly found out that there is no agency watching over renters; the local Building and Inspection departments are only for licensing new construction. The Health Department is for taking care of public properties. It took me (two months)to figure out that the apartment owners didn’t care about investigating, warning any other renters and owners in the complex, nor fixing the problem. We had to choose sue or leave. We chose “leave.”

But this problem because the start of a new business model for me! I don’t want you to have the same problems that I did. We had to buy all of the air testing equipment. But you– you can rent these same four air testing equipment pieces from me, for a faction of the buying cost.

I am offering on Airthings Wave air tester that will assess VOC’s (more later) and estimate mold risk (really humidity, so mold risk).You install an application on a cell phone, and then sync up with the small swank unit.

I am offering one stand alone Carbon monoxide meter (CO for short), because some installed meters may not work, according to someone in HVAC. (I was surprised at this.)

And last, I offer a meter that measures formaldehyde (HCHO), Carbon dioxide (CO2), pm2.5 and pm10. These last two can enter the bloodstream, so they can damage health.

And I have a mold test from the hardware store that has all the sample containers and bags intact. It is only for surface mold, not mold in the air.

Rent Air Test Equipment

The cost for all of these was $255. I am offering a one week rental of this air testing equipment for only $49– only one fifth of the buying cost. You may use the mold sample containers at no charge until they are used up. The test requires $15 per cloth or surface sample, which the consumer mails in.

You can take photos of your findings, and present them to others. It may point you in the right direction, so that you may then know what to repair.
